Description
The Motorola TLK 150 brings WAVE PTX push-to-talk into the vehicle. It mounts over, in or under the dash, runs on 12 V or 24 V, and connects drivers to the rest of the team over a nationwide 4G LTE network, so coverage follows the truck instead of stopping at the edge of a repeater site.
Drivers press one button on the palm microphone to talk, or use a visor mic and external speaker for hands-free operation that stays inside Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules on distraction. Audio is loud and clear on the road, and AES-256 encryption keeps conversations private.
The radio is purpose-built for fleets. It shrugs off rain, dust and temperature swings, includes GPS/GNSS location tracking and Bluetooth, and can fall back to Wi-Fi where LTE is weak. Talkgroups, subscriptions and firmware are managed over the air from the WAVE PTX portal, so an entire fleet can be updated without touching a single vehicle.
The TLK 150 works alongside TLK 110 portables, TLK 25 wearables, WAVE PTX on smartphones and tablets, and compatible MOTOTRBO radios, which makes it an easy way to extend an existing two-way radio system to vehicles without new infrastructure, licensing or manual programming.
